This bright-coloured, cotton-linen scarf was tie-dyed at the Benaki Museum's Mentis Center for the Preservation of Traditional Yarn Techniques by painter Takis Stefanou, who teaches this traditional technique. 

Wax, yarn and clay are among the materials used to tie the fabric before it is dyed. The result is a stunning rainbow of colours in different tones.
