PART OF THE VASIA COLLECTION
The Vasia Collection features handmade suede “tagaria” masterfully crafted at one of the oldest leather smith shops in Athens, Greece, established by Giannis Tsimogiannis in 1968.
Tagari (from the Ancient Greek word “tagi,” which means animal food) was a sack-like bag made of thick material that villagers used to carry their food in.
The Vasia Collection features playful fringes and is available in different suede colours. Some special designs feature handmade trimmings from the Mentis Center for the Preservation of Traditional Yarn Techniques, one of the oldest yarn manufactories whose masterpieces are exhibited in the famous Benaki Museum in Athens.
